LandTech recently provided 3D laser scanning and conventional surveying along the busy city street in downtown Boston. The use of scanning and its ability to collect all roadway data from the safety of the sidewalk, allowed the street to remain open to all traffic and pedestrians during this task. All utilities and right-of-way lines were surveyed and added to the existing conditions plan prepared by LandTech. The interior and exterior of the public transportation station located at the west end of the project were also laser scanned and a 3D Revit model was created. No interruptions to the train schedule or access to the station were impacted due to the data collection by LandTech.
