MarketStreet is a new high-end development in Lynnfield, MA that includes a mix of retail stores, restaurants, and entertainment venues overlooking 100 acres of conservation land. In addition to the retail space, MarketStreet includes 80,000 square feet of first class office space and a 180-unit luxury apartment community. LandTech provided machine control modeling services for the site general contractor.
DESIGN
The modeling project included the creation of a 3D surface of the proposed finished grade which the contractor was then able to upload into their grading equipment for fast and precise grading of the development’s mile-long loop road and expansive parking areas. LandTech also modeled all proposed piping and utility structures for sewer, drainage, water, electric, and gas services.
DEVELOP
Through the use of clash detection, LandTech identified utility conflicts prior to the installation of the utility services, thereby reducing the number of change orders and helping to keep the overall construction schedule intact.
