Role Summary
The Director of Geomatics will apply strong foundational survey/geomatics knowledge and expertise to solve problems, develop solutions, and execute project work to the satisfaction of LandTech’s customers. Projects will vary from traditional boundary surveys and construction layout to utilizing advanced technologies to conduct corridor surveys, building documentation and infrastructure improvement projects. A passion for utilizing technology to achieve superior results is imperative in implementing our solutions.
Responsibilities
- Oversee daily operation of the geomatics department
- Review and supervise work performed by survey staff members
- Perform calculations as required and process field data
- Implement quality control processes
- Client interaction and coordination
- Business development, project estimating and proposal preparation
Qualifications
- A minimum of 8 years experience in the geomatics industry with 3 years in a supervisory position
- Must possess a Professional Land Surveyors license in Massachusetts
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Competency with AutoCAD Civil 3D and field calculations
- A strong desire to utilize advanced technologies in solving traditional problems for a better solution
- Familiarity with laser scanning/lidar, UAV data collection and/or GIS is a plus
- Registration in other New England states and/or Florida is a plus
